STT’s conference DVD series is an excellent source of expert information regarding your strength and conditioning needs as well as enhancing your athletic development potential. Now SMARTER Team Training brings the presentations to you.
Trying to improve your game? Want to be bigger? Faster? Stronger? More agile? To improve your nutrition? Looking for an edge on your competition?
Dear STT nation,
If you’re like most athletes, you’ve tried a lot of different training programs, exercises, and drills to improve your game. Like most people, you’ve probably quit programs that claimed to “guarantee results.” What are you doing now to improve your game? Ever wonder what the players you’re chasing are doing to improve their game?
Coaches, listen up! If you are not learning from your best, do you think you competition will be? Are you giving your team the best chance to win if you do not spend time improving your aspect of the game this season? Coaching is a skill that requires practice the same as your athletes do. Why not look to those that have been there before for help. It will add creativity to your program and may even help give you a few new ways to get your messages across.
The SMARTER Team Training’s DVDs feature some of the best names in the industry. With sport-appropriate topics focusing on speed, movement, agility, reaction, technology, education, and resistance, these video productions are a “can’t miss” in any coach or athlete training library.
What people are saying about the STT DVD’s:
“The attention to detail, helpful and friendly staff, and unexpected networking opportunity makes this conference rival events sponsored by much larger organizations. The DVDs really add a big time bonus!”
“The conference was great. There was a lot of variety and personality. Having purchased last year’s DVDs I knew I was making the right decision coming to this year’s clinic.”
“Loved the information on the website. I’m saving the date for next year’s conference already. Can I pre-order the DVDs for next year’s event when I register?”
“I was hooked when I heard the conversations on iTunes. Flying in to meet the elite coaches has been extremely rewarding. The DVDs from last year’s events were easy to order too. Thanks STT!”
Being in the huddle is intense! Having the knowledge that you and your team is more prepared physically, mentally, and emotionally is a confidence builder in tight games. Ever wonder why “We just couldn’t get it done?” Here are a few resources to help you celebrate at the buzzer.
Coaches and athletes spend a lot of hours, days, weeks, months, and sometimes even years preparing for a competition or the next season. How did you prepare last off-season? Did you pass your strength and conditioning evaluation? Was in-season training important? Were your legs under you late in the season? Did you reach all of your goals?
Where else can you learn from professionals who have worked with and trained NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, WTA, MLL, PGA, NCAA, as well as private and high school champions? Professional and collegiate strength and conditioning coaches, elite private sector trainers, experts in the sports nutrition field, as well as those who work to get you back on the field each day share secrets to their success.
Before you read another word I want to give you a sneak peek of the presentations. This DVD features topics related to training for the game of basketball. The two presenters featured in this “Training for Olympic Sports : Conference Series” DVD are:
Jason Dierking presenting on “Heart Rate Monitoring: Implications for In-Season Training.” Jason Dierking is in his fifth year as Assistant Director of Sports Performance at the University of Louisville. In this role he works directly with men’s and women’s swimming/diving, men’s soccer, field hockey, men’s golf, and cross country. Prior to Louisville, Dierking served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Indiana University from 2001-2005. He also was a graduate assistant strength coach at IU from 1998-2001. During the summer of 2000, Dierking worked as the strength and conditioning intern at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY, where he helped train athletes that were preparing for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
And Tom Palumbo demonstrating “Speed and Agility Training From The Field.” Tom Palumbo has been a strength and conditioning coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes since 2001. Palumbo came to Ohio State from the Pittsburgh Pirates organization where he served as a Minor League conditioning coach for the 2001 season. His team, the Williamsport Crosscutters won the NY/Penn League championship. From 1999-2001 Palumbo was the assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Georgia. While earning his master’s degree in Physical Education and Sport Studies, Palumbo was a graduate assistant for the P.E. department and a volunteer strength and conditioning coach at UGA.
SMARTER Team Training takes educating its athletes and coaches seriously. STT works hard to put together events that feature the best in the business. We are excited to share with you what was once reserved for those who could attend the “limited seats available” and “SOLD OUT” events.
Good luck with your training! Congratulations on taking steps towards making your team a SMARTER team.
